Boris Beckers has been in prison for less than a month. Nevertheless, much has been written about prison conditions and how to deal with them. Now Becker's longtime lawyer, Christian-Oliver Moser, speaks up.

According to his long-time lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser, the ex-tennis professional Boris Becker, who was imprisoned in London, is doing well under the circumstances.

'He didn't complain, he doesn't whine.

Of course the situation is not nice, but he accepts it, "said Moser to the broadcaster RTL.

Reports that Becker complained about the food in prison or even pressed an emergency button are not accurate, said the lawyer, "that's fictitious."

The "Bild" newspaper had published corresponding reports.

Reports in the newspaper that the 54-year-old was transferred to a "comfort wing" of Wandsworth prison in south London are also not accurate.

He only changed cells once.

London's maximum security prison is notorious for its overcrowding and poor conditions.

Moser stated that he had coordinated with Becker before the interview and that he had "first-hand" information.

Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in London at the end of April and is currently being held in a prison in the British capital.

He had concealed assets worth millions from his insolvency administrators.
